3rd Einstein Telescope Site Preparation Board Workshop in Amsterdam
Welcome to the 3rd Einstein Telescope Site Preparation Board (SPB) Workshop in Amsterdam on 6-7th December 2023. Following two earlier workshops in November 2021, in Nuoro, Sardina (IT) and in January 2023 in Maastricht (NL), this 3rd workshop will be the occasion to discuss and get updates on the various activities taking place at the sites aspiring to possibly host the future Einstein Telescope: Sardegna in Italy, EMR in Belgium, Germany & The Netherlands, and possibly Lausitz in Germany. In particular measurement standards of (hydro)geology aspects, noise environment, legal/permitting affairs, bidbook organization, schedules, excavation costs, local funding and future plans, etc. will be discussed. Apart from plenary presentations, lots of time will be reserved for discussions.
The venue of the workshop is the National Institute for Sub-atomic Physics: Nikhef, Science Park 105, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. See: https://www.nikhef.nl A maximum of 70 participants can be hosted in person. A video (Zoom) link will be provided to allow remote attendance.
Registration is required for both in person participation (fee: €85, includes lunches, plus €70 for drinks, snacks & dinner), and online participation (no fee).
