Description

A technical contribution to share the progress the KM3NeT collaboration has made on the absolute position calibration of ARCA in the last year. This includes the discussion of calibration hardware developments, improved deployment accuracy and an overview of the absolute pointing efforts planned for the sea campaign of summer 2026. Moreover, the talk will introduce a novel software method to use this new hardware to recalibrate past neutrino events. This would allow for an updated directional reconstruction of the very-high-energy neutrino KM3-230213A. The talk will include a discussion of the plans and expectations for this future re-analysis.
