Quantum sensing is a rapidly advancing research and technology field. By exploiting the coherent control of individual quantum systems, a diverse family of devices is rapidly progressing from theoretical concepts to market-ready instruments.
In this talk, I will introduce the fundamental principles of quantum sensing and highlight its potential through several use cases. I will also provide an overview of the Dutch Programme for Quantum Sensing (QDNL/CAT3), along with selected examples of TNO’s current work in this area.
