Description
Neutrinos are the most abundant and elusive type of matter in the universe. They affect everything, from the largest cosmological structure to the smallest subatomic scale. They can travel billions of light years, flying undisturbed through planets, stars, and entire galaxies. This makes them unique probes to study astrophysical objects and the farthest regions of the universe. At the same time, they are a portal to uncover the fundamental laws of particle physics as some of their properties -- for instance their masses -- cannot be explained by our current models and require new theories. In this talk I will describe my research activity on neutrino physics and review the status and prospects of the field.
