Description

Effective Field Theories (EFTs) are an ubiquitous framework used for indirect new physics searches. I will motivate the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) and explain the bottom-up approach to map operators to potential UV completions. Then I will present a diagrammatic method to systematically search for and classify these UV models. The focus lies on models for 4F operators and anomalous neutral triple gauge couplings.
A final, and complementary, class of operators violate lepton number by two units, appear in the SMEFT at odd operator dimensions and can be probed via neutrinoless double beta decay.
