• news from CERN: 
  • Alice and Pawel are working on a new equalisation
    • if scans are finished then will talk to Victor how to apply it
    • keep studying some new noise property of some pixels: the noise seems to be different for even/odd columns and for every 16th row
    • current scan do all pixels simultaneously. was thinking to do pixel by pixel but this doesn't solve the problem
    • there has been a period in time when this effect was not there
    • seems also independent of DAC settings
    • now studying noise (mean,RMS) as function of DAC settings
  • Massi reported that NEG coating of A3 went well

 

• news RF box production 
  • inside of new box finished
  • it is now with Martijn for metrology, but he still needs to finish an Atlas ITK task

 

• module testing
  • Kristof took some first scans
  • need to prepare MDs software on the new minidaq
  • Wouter took the source out today
  • the Huber is bad: Wouter will turn it on; Kazu is standby to rest it.
  • Kristof has a new masterstudent to help with analysis

 

• tomorrow is group leader meeting. Niels will join for Marcel.
   
• Niels: when we observe smog there is a big contribution from SMOG vertices far before the velo.
