Abstract: 2015 has seen the re-commissioning of the LHC after a 2 year shutdown. Operations has been established at a beam energy of 6.5 TeV with reasonable performance but not without a struggle. The challenges have been many and range from electron cloud to unidentified falling objects (UFOs). As the LHC nears the end of 2015 proton physics operation, the present situation is summarised and the prospects for the coming years outlined.
