Description
LIGO and Virgo started a new observation run in April this year. With significantly improved sensitivity, they have already reported 13 gravitational-wave signal candidates. At the same time we are preparing several stages of sensitivity improvements, including plans to double the reach of the detectors through the 'A+' programme. To reach further into the universe, and to measure heavier objects, we must break through the 'seismic wall'. I will present a new concept that can unlock low-frequency sensitivity and dramatically improve source localisation for multi-messenger events.
